Yes, I know this is probably considered a romance novel, but Angela weaves such a beautiful story of regret, anger, fear, intrigue and of course undying love. It wasn't the typical story, thankfully, as it captured my attention with the many twists and turns.
I love reading as I learn so much from other authors. I only have one book under my belt, but am learning the nuances of individual authors that will hopefully encourage me to express myself in ways I have not done before. Angela is one of those authors.

Beneath the Mayan Moon is a story about Hadley and Luke college sweethearts who are torn apart by circumstance. Though it is a story about love, it is also a story filled with mystery and intrigue, and a number of twists and turns.
Hadley can't forget the precious moments she shared with Luke and won't accept that he is out of her life. She finds out where he is and flies to Mexico to reclaim the man she loved. Everything goes well for a time, but Luke is hiding something, and suspicion, mistrust and a hair-raising experience at sea causes her to give up on him and she heads home determined yet reluctant to start a new life. After a number of wrong choices, the life she tried to build without Luke falls apart even as the past comes back to haunt her.
The story is never boring, and leaves the reader always wondering what will happen next.

This was a suspenseful, romantic novel that was fun to read. I was rooting for the main characters all the way until the end! The settings were alluring- and the author kept me engaged throughout the story, wondering what would happen to poor Hadley! Her trials and triumphs were believable and heartrending, especially her struggle to fit in with her family and to find her true love. Excellent!
